Mirvac Waste Audits
Mirvac Waste Audits

Challenge
Mirvac committed to an ambitious target of achieving zero waste to landfill by 2030 across its commercial buildings and retail tenancies. To support this goal, Mirvac required accurate, site-specific data on waste streams, practical recommendations to improve diversion from landfill, and delivery aligned with its sustainability and social procurement commitments.
Solution
Green Yakka partnered with Mirvac to deliver large-scale, hands-on waste audits across commercial buildings and retail tenancies. Our team worked on site to sort, weigh and analyse waste streams, providing clear breakdowns of landfill, recycling and organics, along with practical, site-specific recommendations to improve diversion and reduce contamination.
To deliver audits efficiently across multiple locations, Green Yakka combined zero waste expertise with waste labour capacity. This integrated approach enabled consistent, high-quality audit delivery at scale while creating paid employment through hands-on waste work.
